Summer is great. After finishing the examens of this last semester of my studies
I'm enjoying the great weather spending some time at the local lake.
Besides that I've got a a couple of commercial projects that keep me busy at the moment.
You can read more about one of theese projects by clicking on the actual header :)
Though I'm pretending to be busy, there was still some time to model and rig
a ballista and I give it away to the rest of the world in the stuff section.

It's alive!
I finished my thesis and currently I'm waiting for the printed version.
Unfortunately having finished the thesis doesn't mean, that there won't be
any exams this year...
Nevertheless I wanted to deal more with max-script. That's why I've created "Autorig".
You can find this script in the stuff section.
I used this script to Rig the Rifleman, that got a texture now, but still got no grenades.
Hopefully I'm able to change that soon. :)
For those who are looking for a canon on wheels, there are good news, cause
you can download the model from the stuff section.

Seems like, I was lazy, this month. There's only one new topic.
But in fact I'm occupied by couple of projects. Unfortunately
I'm not allowed to talk about that, but I'll post it here
as soon as possible.
Besides that the last semester at university is quite "Smoooth"
I can't remember having that much time for other things like this year.
If everything works well I hope to be able to finish my thesis until May.

It's seven minutes past midnight and I feel like going
to bed is not such a bad idea...
But I'd like to finish this update.
After five months up in the north in Hannover I just came back
to Leipzig recently. I finished my internship at Rocketbox and
I really hope being able to conserve everything I've learned there.
But before I make any plans for the future, I need to get the
last semester at university done, that means I'm currently
working on my Bachleor-thesis.
Besides that, I spent most of my free time from december to february
to create the "Weird Trip" an image with the Spacegirl that was up in
the header last month.
Surely there are some other small things in the gallery and in the
Stuff-section as well, but there is not that much 3D-work I can show
at the moment. But just one more thing, I've updated the
"Crazy Machines 2"-Thread, so if you want to know, what was my part
in that game, you should take a look.

I can't believe winter came that fast.
It seems like last week when I visited Asia.
But things have changed, I was looking for an internship
and found a place to stay at Rocketbox Studios in Hannover.
Until february 2008 I've got the chance to learn more about
game texturing, sculpting and so on... after that my studies
will continue, unfortunately. Hopefully, this will be
the last semester beeing finished with a Bachelor thesis.
Nevertheless I need to work on some serious projects in my
leisure time, that's why I started something new. The progres
can be seen in the WIP section as usual. I also faced the fact
that I should work on my abilities in texturing lowpoly models
that's why I started the "Texturing sessions" that deal
with Lowpoly Texturing. Negleting normal, specular and other
fancy maps, I only want to concentrate on the diffuse layer.
Over this, you will have the abilities to download every
finished model including its texture (look at the stuff section).
So it's a kind of Christmas present from me... ;)
Before I went on holidays, I had to finish some simple tutorials
for univeristy though I guess that most of them cover known problems,
I picked the "How to make a fish" - Tuto and made it
downloadable for anyone (Stuff section).
Though it's in german it should be understandable by looking at
the pictures. So if you always wanted to model
a fish in 3DS Max, than this might help you ;)

This will be the last update for the next two months.
I'm about to visit China and I'm really looking forward
to seeing a whole new culture.
Anyways, I participated on the subdivisionmodeling.com
celebrity sculpting contest. You may have a look at the
gallery if you're curious about my entry.
After the competetion there were some days left to model
something new. I decided to build a space ship. It was just
an exercise to see wether I'm still able to do hard surface
models. I don't think that I'll use this model, that's why
I'd like to give it away :) Take a look at the stuff section.

Last month, I quit working at FAKT-Software.
OH NO, what happend?!
Nothing bad. I'm planning to visit China for more
than two months at the end of July. Afterwards I just want to
make some new experiences in game content creation...
I'm really looking forward to a great "Crazy Machines 2" ;)
This month will be really rough, cause as you might know:
It's the end of the semester and the examens are coming to get me.
Dude, I really hope, that I'm prepared to get everything right, so
there will be four more weeks to exercise sculpting until I start
that great journey ;)

Hey there!
To improve my sculpting skills I've created a new project,
called "Head Session". I'll try sculpt at least one head every week.
I think that's a good way to approach sculpting characters
cause a head can be done very quickly compared with a full figure.
There's another good thing: I'm forced to draw if I want to
start a new head. So there's a lot of content this month.

Happy new year to everybody.
I know it's a bit too late, but I didn't find much time
to keep the page updated in january cause there were lots
of examens, and quite a lot of work to do, too.
That's why the update-bundle isn't that big this month, there's
a little sketch I did during the time of my examens.
After Christmas I painfully studied the criteria of facial beauty,
to create better models the result can be seen in the WIP-section...
And last but not least I set the the warrior free.
He was modeled one year ago to study Silo, it's a lowpoly warrior,
and he's ready to get donwloaded.

The last posting this year.
Though I finished the piggy there was little time
for new 3D projects until the end of Christmas.
Now I enjoy two weeks of free time.
As promised there are some new sketches.
And for those who ever wanted to make a 3D scene with a
calculator but didn't want to model it, they can download
the model from the "Stuff-Section"-page.

It has been a long time, I've been away.
But now I'm back with a new, fresher
design. I hope you like it as much as I do.
So let's have a short overview, what's changed:
Obviously, the language is different.
Maybe I'll translate the content into German,
but for now I keep it English.
I kicked out some sections like "Tutorials"
or "Ref.pics" and created a more general
section called "Stuff" :)
The last thing I want to mention is the
"Sketches"-section. I hope, I'll have a little
bit of time to release one or two new pencil
concept-sketches every month just to show
something else than 3D...
So have fun with the new design and come back. ;)
